A Summer Romance: Espadrilles

Sunday, 14 June 2015

Untitled #32

Those of you that have been following me on here for about a year now, have probably noticed how my love for espadrilles has grown. Ever since I found them in all kinds of colours for less than 4€ (at a shop called Pronti for those of you who are interested and in Luxembourg), they've been my go to shoes to wear in Summer (well, and Spring and Autumn, haha). Lately, the Chanel espadrilles have been getting a lot of attention too, and while I'm not exactly looking to buy some myself, I have been on the lookout for espadrilles with thicker soles, or even a slight plateau. Especially the bi-coloured espadrilles with a differently coloured "nose" are the ones I've been liking most. So far I haven't found any I really like - do you have any recommendations on where I should look to find Chanel lookalike espadrilles? Do you have a specific kind of shoe that you see as the ultimate Summer shoe?

Adding some flare to my wardrobe

Flares, jeans, pants, trousers, fashion, fashion blogger, blogger, bloggers, fashion bloggers, style, fblogger, fbloggers, wishlist, shopping, asos, flared jeans, flared pants, flared trousers, undersizedcloset, undersized closet blog

... pun intended.

For a little while now, I've been observing flared jeans or flares in general coming back in the fashion world and whilst I was always a bit unsure about this style of pants/jeans on myself, I loved how they made me think of my childhood when your coolness level was measured on how long and funky your flared jeans were. Apart from the more hippie inspired flares here and there, the main focus has been on jeans or suit-pants kind of pants in the flare cut. I love the more colourful, patterned pants for summer, but I think I should start investing in a simple pair of flared jeans in a lighter blue shade before moving on to the more colourful styles. I even tried on a pair at Topshop last week but hadn't made up my mind about them yet, but I can definitely see myself going back to have a peek and hopefully purchase a pair for myself when my bank account is being refilled again *cough* birthday in two days *cough*. Do you have any favourite(s) amongst the different flare styles?

Shoe lustings
my polyvore

Given that I'm a huge shoe lover, I've had a couple of shoes (or types of shoes) catching my eye lately and saw a pattern in what I've been loving most recently: over the knee boots, loafers, white stans and sparkly boots! Almost all of these can be purchased on Asos, putting my wallet in a risky situation, haha! As a matter of fact, I've already ordered one of the pairs you can see above - can you guess which one? Do you have any shoe favourites at the moment?

Turtleneck sweaters - clearly, these have been back around since last Autumn/Winter and I own one or two turtleneck sweaters myself, but I currently can't stop looking at them online! To me, the perfect sweater would have a quite wide turtleneck and fit rather loosely than be super tight. Knitted versions (non-scratchy, please!) are the ones I'm loving the most at the moment, especially if they come in pretty colours (e.g. this camel sweater - the perfect basic!) or even with some print.

Boots with chain detail are something I've in particular seen on I Dress Myselff's blog and Instagram and even though I wasn't so keen on them at first, I really started liking them and now I find myself looking for a cheaper alternative online. The feel very classic-with-a-twist to me, which is always great because they can become a staple piece without being too classic. These shoes look simply fabulous with black skinnies!

Sweater dress - this is probably part of my yearly sweater obsession around this time of the year, but sweater dresses have an extra bonus: they're an entire outfit! A comfy sweater dress with boots or even trainers screams Autumn in my opinion and getting one in black or grey makes it the perfect, versatile piece to combine with all shorts of shoes, coats and accessories.

Ponchos are something I remember wearing when I was 8, either loving or hating them. I'm back on the loving-wagon and can't get over the 'Oh I just threw this on'-vibe you immediately get when someone's wearing a poncho. I'm particularly loving tribe-patterned ponchos or anything brown/beige to switch it up from the usual black and grey which is around a lot this time of the year.

Classic black watch - this was kind of an impulse decision to add to the list, because it's more of an all-time-wishlist-item, but I feel like a classic watch with a black wristband is very Autumn-y. (yes, it might just be me thinking this way) It adds an interesting and elegant detail to an outfit and is of course also sooo practical if you have to keep an eye on the time and don't want to search for your phone in your maaaaassive bag every time you need to check the time. (*pointing finger at self*)

August Wishlist
Basic t-shirts Over the last couple of weeks, I have been on the look out for the perfect slouchy, comfortable t.shirt to wear with... well, anything! I was mainly looking for t-shirts with v-necks because they create such a nice neckline and make dainty necklaces stick out more. My personal must-have-colours when it comes to staple pieces like this are black, grey (especially light grey) and white, but I've also seen a couple of other light colours that spoke to me a lot, like light blue or beige.

Flannels Ever since I bought a flannel in the River Island sales in Rotterdam a little while ago, I've been looking everywhere to find more of them. I love how they create such a laid back, 'oh I just got out of bed and threw this on'-look and how incredibly comfortable they are. I am however pretty picky when it comes to the colours of flannels, so I haven't found any others yet, but I'm not giving up quite yet!

Button down shirt with 'hidden' buttons This particular kind of shirt probably has a name but I have no clue what that name would be whatsoever, so hopefully the shirt I put in the collage will enlighten you about what I mean, haha! I saw a very similar shirt to the one you can see above in COS in Paris a couple of days ago (I just realised that the one in the collage is from COS as well!) and I fell in love with it. That particular shirt was also very powdery blue but much longer, so it could probably easily be worn as a shirt dress. However, what I particularly liked about it, was the piece of fabric that covered the buttons - I feel like it gives the shirt a very clean look. If only the shirt in COS would've been half as expensive... *sigh*

A duster coat I've only started seeing duster coats on other bloggers quite recently, but I absolutely fell in love in their classic, but at the same time relaxed look. Next to a trench coat, a duster coat - no colour preference for now - is on my wishlist for when the temperatures are dropping but you can still afford to keep the coats hanging in your wardrobe.

Black ripped jeans This is another staple piece, but I haven't ever really owned a pair of black, ripped jeans. I can already feel how my taste is evolving to like more autumn-y clothes and a pair of ripped, black jeans are more than perfect for autumn! Again, these are absolute staple pieces and can probably be combined with half my wardrobe so, naturally, I need them.

Nike Roshe sneakers For some weird reason, I have lately been drawn to this particular style from Nike, even though I found them quite ugly at the beginning. (or is this just another typical "oh those shoes are so ugly - I love them" situation?) As I've got some money leftover from summer, (who would've thought that?!) I'm hoping to invest into a pair before I get the chance to spend my money on other things. I'm not completely sure about the colour(s) I want them to be, but probably something with blue... I definitely need to do some more research, ha!

Black backpack with gold details Since I got my first 'fashionable' (as in not for school, haha) backpack a couple of months ago and wore it a lot during different trips this summer, I've been playing with the idea of investing in another backpack that might cost a little more than my £10 one from Primark did. I'd like to keep it simple, so ideally I'd like to find a black backpack with golden details like zippers or tassels, to make it look a little bit more exciting but still versatile.

SUNNIES

all via asos

Since having lost my favourite sunglasses a couple of weeks ago, (luckily, they were £5 glasses from Camden Lock - at least I didn't lose an expensive pair) I have been trying to fill the sunglasses-shaped hole in my heart. I have to admit, I haven't been looking around actively for sunglasses in different shops lately, but I decided that this matter at least deserved a small blog post and that I should definitely put more time into finding a new pair (or two?) before leaving for my summer trips. I went onto Asos (where else?) and quickly put this collage together. None of these I have spent a lot of time thinking about, it was rather an "oh I like!"-reaction, put together into a collage, so you get an idea what kind of sunglasses I like the most at the moment.
As it's already quite obvious in the picture, my tendencies go towards round or cat-eye-shaped sunglasses. I have to face the truth though and realise that pretty much all cat-eye-shaped sunglasses look odd on me. Colour-wise, I'm always a bit unsure when it comes to plain black sunglasses (even though I love love the look of them!) as they are very bold - which can be very good of course - and I don't have the biggest face or tannest skin. Which are your favourites from the collage? The ones that speak to me the most right now are: 2nd row, left; 3rd row left and 3rd row right!

PS: excuse the somewhat messy look of the collage, (there are random borders in the picture...?) but since I never have time to update at home, I went free-style and put this collage together on an online program while having some spare time at work!

March Wishlist

go to my polyvore

White Blazer After seeing the classic blazer popping up in white here and there lately, I've been considering to get one myself. I have a love-hate relationship with blazers, (I'm probably the only only in the world with that issue haha) as I really do like the smart and sophisticated look they can give an outfit, while I at the same time hate looking too smart for everyday life, unless it's for a special event. However, I feel as if a white blazer looks less strict but still gives outfit a classic and sharp touch, without making it look like I'm off to a job interview!

Skort Ever since I recently purchased a white skort from H&M Divided, (outfits with it to be up soon!) I've been falling in love with the versatility of skorts and how easily they are combined. I'm currently in particular lusting after a tartan-like patterned skort and funnily, I'll be swapping a pair of shoes for the exact skort in this picture on Depop - jackpot! However, if I find more skorts in different colours and patterns, I can definitely see myself expanding my collection of skorts...

Fedora I'm one of those firm believers that I can't pull of hats or that they're too much for everyday life, but I really want to get over that and purchase a fedora! I love how easily it can transform a simple outfit and am determined to get over my 'fear' of looking overdressed during the day.

Checked pants I've been on the lookout for rather loose checked pants for at least 2 months now and I finally found a beautiful pair in the H&M online shop (these to be exact) which I am determined to get as soon as I have some money and time again to go into Brighton!

Lace Bralet(s) This is another item I've been eyeing with for a while but never actually bought because I never liked how it looked on me in the end. However, I decided that I need to wear my sheer shirts more often, so a pretty lace bralet is a must when I don't always want to wear bandeaus which I have to pull up every two minutes. For now, I particularly want a black bralet but I wouldn't mind finding another one in a pretty colour to spice it up a little bit.

Bikini The two bikinis in this collage aren't a particular kind/colour/pattern I'm looking for, but I didn't want to spend hours scrolling through bikinis on Polyvore so this'll have to do! Since I'll be lying on the beach in Turkey in less than 3 weeks, (!) I really want to find a new bikini. My plan is to look through the bikinis at Urban Outfitters, as they always have the coolest patterns there. If I'm not able to find one with a nice pattern though, a white bikini will do too, as it's something I've been thinking about getting for a little while now as well.

Distressed Boyfriend Jeans Now these are nothing new, as they've been on my wishlist for a quite a while already, but I stumbled over a very nice looking pair from Missguised a couple of days ago and I am determined to go try them on! I'm quite picky when it comes to boyfriend jeans as I don't want them to be either too skinny or too loose or too light or too dark. The jeans I've got in mind are these.

February Wishlist

Slip-ons I've been seeing more and more pictures of slip-ons recently, especially on tumblr and I've slowly fallen in love with their easy-look while still being able to spice up a simple outfit when the shoes are covered in a cool pattern. I think I'd go for a pair with leopard pattern or another animal-kind pattern, as long as the colours are rather calm, but I also really love the black version - the material replaces the need of a fancy pattern!

Boyfriend jeans I do own a boyfriend-jeans-kind-of pair of pants but I've been looking for loose fitted once for at least a month now. My dream pair of boyfriend jeans would be slightly high waisted, partly ripped and washed out and loose enough that I can roll them up without them becoming tight while wearing them that way.

Lace skirt/loose fitted shorts I simply can't get over the look a delicate piece with black lace can create with oversized jumpers or coats. A sleek black dress with a lace hemline would be fabulous as well but I think I'd get more wear out of a skirt/pair of shorts!

Speakers I don't have any particular brand in mind and simply chose these pink Dr Dre speakers because.. well they're nice to look at! I really want to get speakers for next year (as in Uni year) to be able to play music on a decent volume level without having to use my phone's speakers.

Light grey/white/beige fake fur coat During my huge sales-hunting mid-January, I tried on a white, out-of-this-world-fluffy fake fur coat at Topshop which I'd been eyeing with for a couple of weeks already and I would not have hesitated to buy it if it hadn't been too big, so I'm still on the lookout for a similar coat to fill the fluffyless hole in my heart...

Pointy, strappy flats I am head over heels (eeehh flats) in love with the sophisticated look a pair of pointy flats can give an outfit and ankle straps make everything better, so why not combine both looks? When looking for a nice pair of shoes for this post on Polyvore, I stumbled across this gorgeous pair from Zara and I think I might have to pay the store here a visit as soon as I have some spare money from the one I started saving up for...

... an iPhone 5c I've had my current iPhone for almost 2 years which - yes - is really not that long for a phone, but as usually, it's become much, much slower and I simply can't let the thought of owning a new, fast iPhone again fairly soon. I've been thinking about getting the 5c in the red-pink colour it comes in, but since I'm afraid that I'd get tired of it quite quickly, I decided to go for the white one instead. (which I couldn't find anywhere on Polyvore) It's all about saving the money as quickly as possible now!

Metallic skirt I actually tried on a silver-metallic skirt on in River Island during their sales but it was simply too tight and uncomfortable. Ever since then, I've been craving a metallic skirt as it makes even a black t-shirt look interesting when combined with it!

Christmas Wishlist

Monday, 9 December 2013

Now that we are slowly approaching mid-december, I thought it would finally be appropriate to make a good old Christmas Wishlist post. As I have learned from my past experiences regarding Christmas present lists and I started collecting ideas of what I wanted during Autumn already last year, I did the same this year and scribbled every little or bigger wish down on a piece of paper and man am I happy I did that! I now have nice wishlist with things that I not only want but also need. Enough with the rambling now though, let's get started!

Black Platform Boots from My Mum Made It As you might already have noticed in case that you’ve been reading my blog for the last couple of weeks, I’ve been lusting after a pair of chunkier, heavier black boots for a while now, including the simpler, lower-heeled Vagabond version. After unsuccessfully ordering a similar pair to the Vagabond ones, with a heel that was a tad higher on Amazon, my hope vanished and I buried the thought of the boots in the back of my head. Not long after, I stumbled upon this online shop called My Mum Made It and it has the most gorgeous clothes, shoes and accessories! When I first found these boots, I wasn’t sure if they weren’t too heavy for me, but I decided to simply ask for them for Christmas and see what the postman brings me!

It by Alexa Chung You would think that I had enough to read as a partly English literature student, but this book is one that I’ve been reading about a bit here and there recently and I really feel like it would be a nice present as it’s a good change from the usual books I have to read for my classes. I don’t know too much about the book, other than that people loved it everywhere, so I’d love to give it a try myself!

Vegan for Fit by Attila Hildmann As already mentioned a couple of times on the blog, I’ve been looking into vegan lifestyle and cuisine quite a lot recently, this book being one of the main reasons that I even got interested in the subject. Attila Hildmann is a German-Turkish guy from Berlin who completely changed his lifestyle (google pictures with his name and look for before and after pictures, you’ll be stunned!) by switching from omnivore to vegan eating lifestyle. He published this book a little while ago (about 1 year ago I’d say?), which basically consists of a 30 day challenge to eat vegan and follow specific eating patterns, including the most fantastic and delicious recipes. If you would like to learn more about it, I’d recommend you to watch the “trailer” to his book hereI’ll probably give the challenge a go in mid-January as it’s supposed to make you feel incredibly good, lose some weight, build up muscle and it’s super tasty too!

Nike Free Run 5.0s As many other people, I’ve completely fallen in love with the whole sneaker-during-the-day style and I’ve decided to ask for a pair that I’d mostly wear during the day for Christmas. I’ve been thinking about getting colourful ones as they can really spice up an outfit, but as my mum already said, I already own a pair of pink Reebok sneakers which I could wear if I really feel like adding a splash of colour to my outfit, so I’ll probably go for the simple black/grey/white version.

Vegan Chocolate As you have already been able to read about, I've been eating vegan 95% of the time lately, chocolate being one of the few exceptions of food that I eat that is not fully vegan. As I really am a huge chocaholic, I told my parents (ehem I mean Santa) not to buy any chocolate stuff yet as I really want to go chocolate hunting myself and try the vegan version! The chocolate in the picture is from a german website called alles-vegetarisch.de in case any of you want to go have a look! (and yes, they have white chocolate too there, mmh!)

Yoga pants / running pants from H&M As I'm currently working out several times a week, even almost daily if I can fit it into my schedule, I'm always happy about a new pair of pants to wear to my workouts. I especially want a properly long pair of running pants as the longest ones I own only cover my knees and I always have to wear a pair of jogging pants on top of them so that I don't freeze to death when walking back to my flat. I have a few workout clothes from H&M already and I'm really really satisfied with them! They're not too expensive and the quality is more than good, so another pair or two of such pants would be of great use for me.

A blender This is something I’ve been wanting even back when I was still living at home, as we only have a very basic blender there, nothing fancy to make smoothies in. Before I came to Uni, I already mentioned the wish of a blender but I decided to wait for Christmas to ask for one. I don’t have any particular brand in mind as I’m not too well informed on the subject, so any suggestions are highly welcome! My friend who I’ll also be living with next year will probably get a blender to make cakes with, so that way we have all the equipment we need to make everything from cakes and cupcakes to smoothies or homemade falafel!

Silver (boyfriend) watch I already added this kind of watch to quite a few Polyvore outfit combinations and I'm quite sure that it has appeared on a few monthly wishlists as well. I don't have any particular model of preference in mind right now, but this one is one I found on Asos which I really like.

Money Even though money often seems quite unpersonal as present, I'm always happy if I get a little money here or there, simply because you can never have enough back um money for those trips to Primark and Topshop! I'm also currently organising a 5 day trip to a great city in January with a friend right now, so a little money would definitely come in handy, but more about that in another post..!

What are your wishes for Christmas? Is there anything that you think that I forgot to put on my wishlist?

November wishlist
Here I am with a wishlist - once again! I have to admit this collage doesn't look very pretty or neat, as nothing really matches, but here are some things that I wouldn't mind picking up this month.

Two-pieces: Yes, this probably does not fit the season at all as it is seriously starting to cool down (I actually wore gloves today, brrr), but ever since I saw the first pictures of girls in gorgeous two-pieces laying around on tumblr, I've been wanting one two! I don't have any specific idea of the pattern, but a cute top-skirt-combination would be the perfect thing to wear both during the day or at night!

Faux fur collar: I've been looking for a decent faux fur collar since last winter already and I was pretty disappointed when I didn't find one at the Vintage Fair, as they were all either too big or too small or too expensive.

Over the knee boots: Lately I've been seeing a lot of girls wearing over the knee boots on campus, mostly wearing them with dresses or skirts, which I find so girly but chic at the same time! I have a pair from Marks & Spencer or even H&M (yes, I saw nice ones there!) on my mind, especially since I don't want to spend a fortune on the boots - I'll definitely have a better look at the boots the next time I'm in Brighton.

Liquid eyeliner: Even though I have at least one or two liquid eyeliners at home in Luxembourg, I didn't bring any of them with me to Uni and I've recently really wanted to practice on the perfect eyeliner wings, so I'll have to find one to buy around here!

Short trench coat: This is something I've been wanting for a while now as well, particularly as I want a shorter version of a trench coat. It seems to be impossible to find at the moment though, so I'm open to any suggestions!

Dark denim shirt: Again, something I've been trying to find for a while now but never found. I own a longer, light blue denim shirt but I really want a simpler, dark and shorter denim shirt as it looks more casual and can be worn with jeans without having to tuck the shirt into them.

Bronzer: I don't usually wear a lot of make-up (the necessary cover up and some mascara - that's it) but whenever winter comes near, I get so awfully pale, that I always feel the need to bring some colour into my face by highlighting my cheeks. I do own blush but I've been wanting a bronzer for a couple of weeks now.. I'm thinking from Boots or Superdrug - staying on the affordable side!

White jeans: The last time I can remember owning white jeans was probably when I was around 12 and since then, I never really felt like getting a pair again, especially because I'm so clumsy and will literally get my clothes dirty faster than a little kid. However, I'm now really tempted to tame my inner child and buy a nice pair of white jeans, as it can really brighten up an outfit (obviously, duh) and it's a nice change from the usual blue/black jeans.

October wishlist

I think I'm slowly starting to get the hang of Polyvore, so I might be creating collages more often over the next few weeks - do you like these kind of posts? And do you have any other ideas to make Polyvores with, other than fashion ones?
My mum is coming to visit me here soon and she said that we'd go shopping a little bit. Now I don't know (and I'm not setting my expectations too high) how big the chances are for me to get some of the things in this picture, but I decided to dream around a bit and put some things together that I wouldn't mind calling my own.
Plaid pants
I love how patterned pants can give your outfit a great twist when the rest of it is kept rather calmly and I've especially been loving black and white plaids, as they're easy to combine with colours as well, other than just black/grey/white. I've read that Primark is selling these kinds of pants on another blog, so I'll definitely have to do a sneaky little walk through Primark again. (As soon as I have some money ha ha)
Pastel sweaters/coats
This autumn, I somehow have the urge to buy pastel or just plain light coloured clothes - maybe to brighten up my wardrobe for winter? I've especially grown to really love baby blue and powdery pink, so one or two pastel sweaters and maybe even a coat would be more than lovely to own now that the cold weather is approaching and my coats are all black/dark blue and my sweaters are colourful but none are pastel.
Tartan scarf
I don't think I have a lot to say to this one; everyone has or wants it and I'm just another poor sould who got lured into really really wanting a tartan scarf as well by seeing it... everywhere.
Vagabond boots
When I walked through Urban Outfitters (and exited it heartbroken) 2 weeks ago, I randomly tried on these Vagabond boots and I fell in love. I know that I should probably look out for boots that are not black, as all the boots that are possess certainly are black, but I love the rough-ness of these boots and even though I would probably not wear them with dresses, they would look so damn good with pants in every colour and big, oversized coats, ah!
Smock dresses
I'm late but I'm finally falling in love with smock dresses, as they are just so easy to wear and combine. The colour of the dress in the picture is just one that I've been loving lately, as I already own a mustard sweater, but would I like to own a smock dress in every colour you ask? Yes, please!
Light coloured bags
And here we are back again to a light coloured piece! Even though pretty much every blog in the universe has already been filled with monochrome outfit pictures, I still love the black/white look and this bag would look stunning with so many things, especially since it has a really classy style. I should probably learn how to take care of a bag first (aka not throwing it on the floor as soon as I get to take it off my shoulder) before buying a white one, but hey, owning a white bag surely would motivate me?
Silver watch
I don't even know why I picked this watch to add to the collage, but I like how casual it looks, as it is quite discreet and looks a bit rougher and simpler than my golden watch.
Dark brown lipstick
I have a love for orange or light pink lipstick, but I have this thing that I hate wearing them as I feel like my teeth look 472022670 times more yellow than they really are. So, instead of buying a lipstick I'd never wear, I found myself looking at brown shades, which I think is different from the classic red lipstick but still not too funky to add to a day-outfit.
Canon digital camera
Lastly, I've been wanting to get myself a good digital camera for a while now, as I like to be able to take good quality pictures whenever I want to (all for you guys, all for you) without having to carry around my big, heavy monste of a camera, but I've somehow never gotten around actually looking at digital cameras in detail.. This might sound like a mission for the Christmas holidays!

PS: If you've read all this, then *clapclap* because whoa did I write a lot for a wishlist post.

Shoe cravings

Monday, 30 September 2013

all these boots are sold via asos

My biggest weakness when it comes to shoes are boots. When I was younger, I used to hate going shopping for boots, because it always took me ages to find some that wouldn't make my feet look bigger or my legs even thinner, but as soon as I had found a good pair, I lived in them until they broke into pieces! Nowadays, I don't have a problem with deciding which ones to buy because of what fits me/what doesn't fit me, but because of how much money I can spend, haha! I love having different kinds of boots to wear with dresses or big coats or leather pants and chunky scarves. Naturally, moving to the UK has made my cravings for more boots even worse, as every girl here owns the coolest boots and combines them in incredible ways! Above you can see a couple of pairs that I particularly like right now. My favourites here have to be the Chelsea boots and the snake skin Chelsea wellies! The entire Chelsea boot style is really starting to grow on me, plus I've been looking for wellies but still haven't found any. I'm saving up for another pair ATM, boo student budget!

PS: Did anyone notice that all these boots are black and that all the boots I own are black too? Hmmm

September Wishlist

Monday, 9 September 2013

Ever since I saw this light blue, knitted ZARA sweater, I kept on thinking about it but I was never sure if I like it or not. After seeing it on two bloggers, I'm slowly but surely falling in loce with it! I can imagine it being worn with my fake leather trousers and either sneakers or my metallic ballet pumps..

Since I'm moving soon, I started looking at accessories for my room and bathroom. Even though I'll already have a couple of plates, etc, I couldn't keep myself from looking around on the Ikea website and spot this pale pink glass/cup and bowl - yes, I'm fully back on my pink-trip, it's just so pretty! The small baskets would be perfect to keep my tons of jewelry in without it hanging and lying around everywhere. The soaps from ZARA don't only look pretty (pink - once again) but surely also smell great, which is awesome because I love it when my hands smell nice because of a soap I used, haha! (I actually planned to add a bathrobe to this collage but forgot it somehow...)

Something else I'll need for Uni is a proper bag, and I fell over this slouchy, black bag from ZARA. It doesn't necessarily have to look exactly like this one, but I'd love it to be black and made out of soft leather/material. Of course, it also has to be big enough to carry books/notebooks.

Lastly, I'm really excited to start reading for my English classes. Two books (not school related ones) I ordered a while ago still haven't arrived, so I took a look at my reading list for Uni and I'm actually looking forward to reading the books! The list includes books like The Great Gatsby (which I've already read in spring!), Alice through the looking glass (apparently it's a follow-up from Alice in Wonderland) and Jane Eyre, which I read a few lines of in a shop and it sounds a tad like a thriller-ish story, happening in older times.

jelly shoes: office sneakers: nike boots: office
kimono: new look heels: zara shirt: romwe

Even though I got to do some shopping this summer already, there are still a couple of things on my wishlist:
I’m still looking for a shorter, either rather light or rather dark denim shirt that fits loosely. I do have a light denim shirt, but it has the kind of lenght that you’d wear it over leggings and I want to be able to wear it with pants without having to tuck it in every time!

Also, I posted about the “sneaker trend” a couple of weeks ago and I think I’ll treat myself when I’ll have the right amount of money! The Nike sneakers I’ve been eyeing are the Nike Free Run 5.0s. I don’t know in which colour I’d like them the most, but either in black/grey or a more colorful version like the one in the picture!

Something else I’ve been falling in love with recently are kimonos. I couldn’t one with a pretty pattern online, so I chose this black one from New Look, but anything that looks nice would be on my wishlist too! I love how you can combine them casually, with jeans or more elegantly with a dress or skirt.

When it comes to the pink jelly shoes; I’ve seen them in the window of an Office shop at Camden Town but somehow couldn’t find them in the shop and didn’t think of asking for them (stupid me!) but I haven’t been able to get them out of my head ever since – they’re so pretty! Sadly, they’re also sold out on the website ATM...

Lastly, when I got a new pair of boots at Topshop back in London, I tried on a very similar pair of black boots than the ones in the collage and I almost got them, but I liked the other ones a tiny little bit more. My mum has these in brown actually, and I still want them, I’ve got to go back to Topshop when I’m moving to England!

And yes, I’m still looking for white heels and these ones from ZARA are soo perfect, but I don’t know if I’d actually find them in the shops anymore!

Shift Dresses

Sunday, 14 April 2013

Even since I saw Eliza wear a shift dress on her blog/instagram, I've been lusting after one or two for myself. I checked tons of online shops, but it turned out that the shop where she got her dress from has the most amazing ones! I just ordered two dresses out of this collage - can you guess which ones?
Unfortunately, the online shop is australian, so I had to pay 40€ for shipping (I usually hate doing that), but they're supposed to arrive withing 3-4 days, so I guess that's okay! Now that the weather is (finally!!) getting better, I really can't wait to just slip them on and look fabulous!
What do you think about shift dresses? I really hope H&M or ZARA will stock some up themselves, I can already see myself filling my closet with them..

PS: the yellow and orange-y dresses are from asos!

DEAR SANTA...

Monday, 3 December 2012

slim golden bracelet from asos // black fake fur jacket from H&M (this isn't actually it, it's a random picture I took from google since I couldn't find it on their site)
boyfriend watch from asos // golden, flat earrings from asos
black authentic lo pro vans // set of golden bracelets from asos
dark blue & bordeaux dr denim kissie jeggings
tripod // rose-goldish earrings from asos

I decided to (for once) actually make a wishlist for Christmas, since I usually don't make one or just try to find some things a couple of days before Christmas or simply end up with money. Don't get me wrong - I am happy about recieving money, but I think it's so much nicer to have a couple of packs to unwrap! So above you can see what I'd love to get. I'm pretty sure that I won't get everything, so I might just purchase one or two things with my own money... What do you guys think of my wishlis

GOLDEN JEWELRY

Sunday, 25 November 2012

I've been lusting for golden, rather obvious jewelry for quite a while now, so I finally gave in and clicked myself through asos' jewelry section and oh boy, I had to stop myself at the 53rd page, they simply have too many gorgeous things! A chunkier, golden-ish watch is what I've been falling in love more and more over the last couple of weeks, but I can't see myself spending hundreds of euros, so I found the two beauties from the picture for a price of around 40/50€. Statement earrings are something I've been looking for.. how long, a year? I finally found gorgeous ones, in gold as addition! And golden bracelets and necklaces are rather basic-y, but I still feel like I'm missing them in my rather small jewelry collection.. Anyone volunteering to buy me something (all of it) from above? :D
What do you think about the pieces I picked? x

BOOTS

Saturday, 29 September 2012

Someone buy me those boots, both pairs, I am literally drooling all over my laptop and I can't even decide which ones are better because they are both such beauties. They're from asos, by the way.

WANT

Monday, 20 August 2012

black vans & neon nailpolish (especially yellow one!)
a colourful rain jacket (romwe), a cape (romwe), a leather jacket - not necessarily with spikes/studs (new look), a denim vest and/or a denim jacket (all new look)

I've been craving the things listed above for a while now, especially the nailpolish and shoes! I went to more than 10 shops to find the shoes, but they never had them in my size.. If I don't find them here while I'm still in France, I'll probably order them when I'm back at home. Regarding the leather jacket, I actually need a new one, since my actual one is starting to get too small for me (my dad would pay a new one). The cape and rain jacket are just really pretty, which is enough of a reason for me to want them haha :D And I've been wanting a proper denim jacket, because the one that I have right now is actually an old kids' jacket, so it doesn't really fit the way that I want it to. Oh and the denim vests are just a big summer craving too.

SHOE LUSTINGS

Saturday, 19 March 2011

Once again I fell in love with, erm.. 6 pairs of shoes? As expected, those lovelies are all from Topshop. I think I'll show them my mum sometime soon.. Which are your favourites? xo
