SUMMER READS

Tuesday, 1 September 2015

Ever since I started doing English Literature as part of my degree at University two years ago, reading books has turned into more of an obligation than the hobby it used to be for me. From a young age on, all I did was read, read, read and my mum often more or less seriously complained about my constant need for new books ruining her. However, when I started Uni and had to read a different book for class almost every week, it turned into something more tedious than enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, I've read a lot of books which I enjoyed during the two years of my course so far, but even I liked the book I was reading at that moment, knowing that I should finish it by a specific day often took the pleasure out of actually reading it.

Life lately

Friday, 16 August 2013

Crepes with chocolate, crepes with strawberries and loots of coffee, club sandwiches, biking near the sea, fish soup and look at that; a strawberry vending machine!
Pretty views, more biking, ice cream with sprinkles, Desperados and letting out my inner kid by playing Nintendo, heavenly pasta with shrimps

I found myself taking a lot more pictures with my phone than camera, since I don't feel like carrying it around with me the entire time and I thought I might share some of the snapshots I made over the last couple of days!
I'm going home earlier than expected so I can still see my friends before everyone leaves for Uni, so I'll probably already be back in Luxembourg on Monday instead of Saturday next week! That means that I'll be able to post more outfit pictures :)

I've been thinking about making a book review post, but I don't know if any of you would be interested in that? Also, please do leave me suggestions for books!
I recently finished reading Revenge wears Prada, Looking for Alaska, Wonder - right now I'm reading Lolita and an Agatha Christie book and on my wishlist are Reclaiming the F word, the new feminist movement and Girlfriend in a coma.

Just quickly wanted to drop by and show you a few pictures of the books I finally recieved. I started one of the german ones and didn't have time to properly take a look at Style, but I'm for sure gonna look through it later! Right now I'm painting my nails and thinking about what clothes to take with me to Brussels. I think I'll just take with me what really need, but like need, not "need" (I'm a girl, I can't help it), so that I have enough space for my shoppingtrips, mwahah.
I'll be back later XO

IF YOU HAVE ANY LAST-MINUTE TIPS ON SHOPS, PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT!

ordered

Saturday, 25 December 2010

I ordered these four books this afternoon, they're supposed to arrive in January, looking forward to finally get a few more pages than only magazines between my hands! The first two books are both from an author who's books I really enjoyed. The one on the left is about a girl who wants to become just as beautiful as her older sister and gets anorexic and the one on the right is about a girl who's shoppingaddicted, but like seriously (not like me, ehehe). The other german book is from the same author as from the book Shopping in the City, which I loooved ! It's about a young girl called Imogene who lives her fashiondreams, in the first book in America and now in Paris. And the last book, I'm sure you all heard about. So did I, and only positive things. I felt a need to get my hands on it as well and my mum immediately agreed on this one too since it's english ;)

Have you ever tried sleeping with a broken heart?

As probably some of you know, I love drawing, especially clothes! This is a great book I bought in Paris last summer. It's about how you can draw/learn to draw all kind of poses. But not just the poses & they way the drawings are, is/are great, also the clothes are so nice! Often the 'models' don't wear what's 'in' at the moment, but you can find so much inspiration there! It's definitely one of my favorite books!

Don't stop 'til you get enough.

Thanks to my little brother who took this picture! :)

At the library I found that book, which I already started to read at V's place, but she also just borrowed it, so I just started to read it. I've already read about 60pages, and it's really funny! The title means 'Supersweet Revenge' , haha, love it. ;)
+ I also (finally!) could borrow the 4th Book of the It.Girl -books :)
