Polyvore

 

Even though I've recently purchased a couple of new things which I really like and want to wear ASAP, I  haven't been motivated to make the effort to take pictures for the blog. However, my personal little photographer, aka my brother, is back home since Saturday, so hopefully I can get him to take some pictures of me soon, when I decide to wear something else than a skirt and basic top or jeans-and-top-combination. The weather has been absolutely ridiculous (for my taste particularly) with temperatures around 30 degrees one day and thunderstorm and rain the other, which is terribly uncomfortable for me as I hate it when it goes above 25 degrees (unless I'm lying near a pool or on a beach) or when it's really humid outside. As every fashion/outfit blogger out there, my blog is also very dependent on the weather, haha! 

I'm still working this week, but I hope that I'll manage to squeeze in a post here and there nonetheless. For now, I decided to create three outfits on polyvore and funnily enough, every outfit contains at least one item which I actually own! Maybe I should try recreating these...

Since it's raining (or at least it was when I started making this post) and I don't have the patience to play around with my camera remote and am quite frankly too lazy to get dressed properly, I decided to go on Polyvore and put together some outfits I like. Unlike usually, I went on the website and started creating looks but without having a specific outfit in mind. I simply clicked my way through the items that were on display and created outfits out of the suggestions I got. Sometimes I had the idea to add a specific item to an outfit I was creating, but I wanted to create outfits without organising them in my head, which led to combinations that I might wouldn't have thought of otherwise. I also found out that doing this made me want to own all kind of things I didn't even know I wanted?! Hmmm... And is it just me or do you also feel that if there was an app or program where you could 'upload' the content of your wardrobe and try out combinations virtually, you'd come up with new ways to wear things? I think I'll go google if such an app exists..!

I'm feeling pretty uninspired lately, but I somehow had the urge to put together a couple of outfits I wouldn't mind wearing at the moment, given the fact that I actually owned all of these items.

I've been having lots of outfit ideas popping up now and then and decided to put some of them into polyvore collages. My favourite outfit of these four is probably the second one, love the colour palette! Luckily, I do have some of the pieces that I added to the collages, so I might be able to put some of those outfit together similarly IRL. Which one do you like the most?
