Instagram Diary

Saturday, 23 August 2014

left: after 5 years, I finally got to go to Disneyland again, which really is the happiest place on earth in my opinion and of course I couldn't not post a picture of it on Instagram, right? right: random Paris architecture snapshot - one of my favourite things to do in Paris, (in London as well, actually) is to walk around the city until my neck is aching from gazing up all the fantastic buildings

left: naturally, I couldn't leave Paris without having posted an Eiffel Tower picture. Thank god I wasn't one of the thousands of people trying to get on the tower though! right: yesterday night's outfit
left: I'm not the biggest beer fan, but what I do like to drink every once in a while - beer wise - is Desperados. And how fancy does this bottle look? right: what do you do when you're sitting in a car by yourself? Take selfies, of course!
left: even though I didn't like the flat we stayed at the past week as much, I really liked this little spot in my room, where I put my bags, nailpolishes, etc. right: beach snapshot on a random beach here in Brittany; notice how I'm wearing jeans and not a bikini? Typical weather here in August, haha!

left: random selfie from a couple of weeks ago right: the last couple of days I spent in Brighton before coming home for spring break, my friends and I went to eat at Food for Friends and even though the food was really nice, I was disappointed by the portion size - price ratio...
left: I started being a bit more creative with food, especially since I've mainly been living off pasta and sushi since starting to eat 801010. In this picture, you can see chickpea patties with homemade oilfree potato fries and a sweet chili sauce I basically made out of sriracha, agave nectar and lemon juice and on the right you can see... right: mushroom risotto! I've been telling my dad over and over again to make risotto more often as it's one of my favourite dishes ever, so I gave it a try and made my own mushroom risotto and it turned out wonderfully!
left: I simply had to wear my both my shoes and jumpers with snakeskin pattern on at the same time, hehe right: view from our balcony in Turkey, now I miss it! *sigh*
left: in Turkey, I finally got to try something I've been wanting to try for a while now: mulberries! So so yummy right: before going on holiday, I finally cropped the 'indian' pattern top that I bought a while ago and this is how I wore it
left: even though my brother is turning 16 in about a month, I still feel like he's my little baby brother, but I have to face it; he's even already almost caught up on my height! right: detail shot from an outfit I wore in Turkey, showing my new two bracelets I bought for really cheap
left: just the beautiful sea! right: I finally got lots of freckles again (more than the picture actually shows) and I really hope that they won't disappear too soon, as it's supposed to be raining a lot over the next days over here in Luxembourg...
left: random outfit - I must have been inspired by all the Coachella fashion because I felt very boho wearing this, haha! right: our garden is absolutely gorgeous right now, there's flowers everywhere and these purple ones all around the outside of the back of our house are particularly stunning
left: I didn't get to eat close as much fruit as I would've wanted to in Turkey, so I was more than happy to do major fruit shopping with my dad yesterday and I enjoyed a bit of the deliciousness yesterday as late breakfast after a night out right: I found this little corner in our living room to be looking very 'Instagram', so naturally I had to take a picture of it, haha!

TURKEY PHOTOBOMB

Tuesday, 22 April 2014

I took a bunch of pictures during our stay here in Turkey, particularly on our day trips the last couple of days and decided to make a photobomb post out of them. I was really selective when picking the pictures for this post as I've got plenty more but didn't want to make it too heavy. Let me know if you like these kinds of posts and I might be able to put another one together with pictures from our holiday!

left: I read that you could speed up the ripening process of bananas by putting them in the oven at a very low heat online and immediately wanted to try that out. Being the idiot I am, I completely forgot about them after a while and only remembered when the bananas had turned black! Needless to say that my friend laughed for half an hour, but we ended up eating them as desssert; baked banana! right: random selfie - for some reason, I hadn't published proper selfies in a while on Instagram
left: another selfie from the day after - loved the leather/fur/red lips combo! right: I decided to wear my indian-print tshirt from Urban Outfitters as dress once before cropping it
left: I've recently been making potato pancake (something quite luxemburgish actually, even though I never made them myself before) and it's become one of my favourite meals! You need barely any ingredients and it doesn't take long to make. The best way to eat them is with apple sauce, yum! right: Afternoon coffee & reading session (which quickly turned into a 3 hour long chat) with my friend last Saturday
left: when looking for a place to take outfit pictures in Brighton, we discovered a street that looked as if we were suddenly in Spain or the South of France and on the other side of the street were these beautiful, cute houses! right: As I already mentioned in my post on Sunday, I had my first job here in the UK that day! For that occasion, I had to get a pair of suit trousers and I found one for £5 (!) at Primark. Turns out I really like the look of them when rolled up until the ankle - I'll definitely be wearing them during the day in the future.

LONDON PHOTOBOMB

Friday, 21 March 2014

Over the last few days, lack of inspiration, time and technological problems mixed together, but luckily I've got most of this figured out, so hopefully I'll be back to posting more regularly!
I spent last weekend at a friends place in London with another 2 friends and I thought I'd just share a bunch of pictures that I took over the 2 days there. I saw London from another point of view, as we asked my friend who lives there to show us the city from her perspective and to bring us to nice places. I went to places like Notting Hill, Brick Lane, Liverpool Street and China town! Food-wise, I went to M&M Land and Wholefoods for the first time, which I both looved - obviously, haha!
I took a lot of short clips of the different places as the atmosphere was absolutely amazing, because the weather was almost summer-like and everyone was in such a good mood. I can't wait to go back to London soon, do you have any must-go places in London you could suggest me to go visit the next time I'm up there?
