Exploring New York: Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo and the Brooklyn Bridge

Having been to New York once already rather recently, my friend and I have the opportunity to do less touristy things during our stay here, which includes finding events and places we can go to for free or simply exploring neighbourhoods we hadn't seen much of yet. On Monday, we headed down to Brooklyn Heights, where we got to admire the Manhattan skyline from the promenade (whilst trying not to freeze to death) and we then walked up to Dumbo, full of pretty architecture and cute cafés. We finished the morning by crossing the Brookly Bridge, which gave us more beautiful skylines to gaze at and lots of great photo opportunities.
