Room/House Tour

Exactly one month ago today, I arrived in Brighton after having been away for more than 3 months. I arrived here with my mum and after a night in a hotel, we went to pick up the keys to what would be my very first own little house to live in! After a lot of of tidying, cleaning, buying furniture, putting it together and decorating, my two housemates and I have finally more or less finished the interior of our house. Since I personally doubt that showing you the entire house in detail would be interesting to you, (unless you want me to do that, of course!) I took a couple of more detailed shots of my room and the kitchen to share with you. After years of wanting a clothing rail in my room, I finally got one, haha! The desk in my room is one of the pieces of furniture I bought and built up (amongst many other pieces I put together with my friends) and it's something I've always wanted: a white desk. Most things like sketch/notebooks, pens, etc are from a shop called TIGER, the 5 Star Kitchen sign we found in Rotterdam and the Instant human, just add coffee! sign I found online and I simply couldn't not buy it. (Seriously though, how awesome/true is this?!) Do let me know if you enjoyed this post and if you want me to post more pictures of our house :)

Roomtour

So here's the room tour I considered making. I did think of making a video out of it, but quite frankly, I prefered to just throw my clothes around the room to some corner while I took pictures of another corner, instead of simply tidying it up :D I'm on the campus that got built from scratch last year, so I'm really lucky because it's very modern, clean but still cozy! For those who are curious: I live with 4 guys and 1 girl, which is something I'm happy about, because it's always a bit more fun when there are more guys than girl living together (in my opinion).
I don't know when I'll have the time to post outfit pictures because my classes start tomorrow and I have to get used to my new schedule, but I'll try to post other things meanwhile. Have a nice day! xo

My Room

I basically swapped my bed aganist my desk, moved my lower shelf into a corner behind my bed, fixed the mirror on top of it and arranged my long shelf to be in the middle of the room. I always kind of wanted to split my room using a shelf or something similar and I'm pretty with this result because I have a working-space and a chilling-space and in the middle of it all my beloved bed! I personally think that it's really hard to show a whole room in pictures, but I did my very best!

My closet!

When I read the Mastering your closet chapter in Lauren Conrad's book Style, I immediately felt the need to tidy mine and sort my stuff. I already did this some time ago but never really took pictures of it. It's not perfectly clean and tidied right now, but I always love seeing other bloggers' closets, so I thought I'll might share pics of mine with you!

So, my closet is divided in 3 parts: 2 big parts with two doors (on the left and the right) and a smaller part with only one door inbetween the bigger parts.

In the big part on the left I keep my blouses, pullovers, bigger/looser shirts, dresses, cardigans.. and lower I stock my jeans and some summer shoes. I didn't take pictures of the lower part because it looks kinda messy, hehe. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but I ordered my shirts, etc; from the right to the left: dresses, blouses, thick cardigans, light cardigans, shirts, pullovers and my long summerdress. I also sorted the stuff by colours.. a little at least, but you can't clearly see it here. The other picture shows the middle part where I mostly keep thicker cardigans and some jackets and blazers.

This is the big part on the right side. Here I keep t-shirts, tanktops and skirts. It's not really sorted because I often am in a hurry or I'm too lazy to properly take something out of my closet and put it back to the right place. Above my shirts and so on are shorts, scarfs and things like joggingtrousers. Below I keep my underwear, socks, tights and some other scarfs. (This probably is the most chaotic part in my whole wardrobe)

If my shoes aren't standing downstairs, next to the door, then I keep most of them in my big black IKEA shelf. Here you can see some of my shoes which I'm currently stocking in my room: my fake allstars, oxfords, ballerinas, wedge-booties, some very old trainers and two pairs of sandals in the boxes. Most of my ballerinas are put away in another, small box in my other shelf.

On the last "floor" of my big bookshelf I keep all my rings, my sunglasses and perfumes. Longer necklaces are hanging on my blue wall.

PS: I just realised that I forgot to show you where I keep my bags! I basically keep them in another big box in my smaller shelf, next to my bed.

out of the corner of my eye

I felt like really, really wanting to post something before watching GG, re-read german and go to bed, so I took a few pics of my room. I'm really liking the cool mix of white and blue walls and blankets and black and light furniture. It's way cleaner now and I'm happier than ever about my room!
I'm now gonna do what I just mentioned I'll do, watch Gossip Girl while scratching the rest of my nailpolish off and then I'm off to ZZzz!

i'm too hungry to focus on maths

i finally took a little break from studying german and maths, to finish tidying my room and finally show you pictures of it! yesterday evening i changed the position of my furniture and i really like it now, the room seems bigger than it did before. that's all i can/have to tell you for now, my sunday's really boring, getting up, having breakfast, studying, tidying, having lunch, studying and maybe later watch some GG. see ya! xx
